The bronze sculpture was created by artist Gradimir Aleksić and depicts a female dancer balanced on a single foot in an extended pose, with the figure's arms gracefully positioned. Local tradition attributes the work's inspiration to Olga Kalivoda, a Yugoslav-era gymnast and athlete. The statue has become the most photographed individual landmark in Budva subsequent only to the Old Town walls themselves.
