Mercur sits behind the bus station on the northern edge of Budva, away from the tourist strip. The menu centres on katunska trpeza — highland-style communal platters of lamb, veal and pork cooked slowly under a sač bell. Side dishes follow the mountain tradition: kajmak, cicvara, kačamak. Seafood is limited to one or two daily catches; this is not a fish restaurant. Portions are large enough that two people regularly share a single platter. The clientele skews local, which keeps prices below the seafront average. No sea view, but the shaded courtyard stays cool in summer.
