The palm-lined walkway is backed by a continuous row of hotels, apartment blocks, cafés and ice-cream shops, and is the default evening stroll for visitors staying in the centre.
Slovenska Beach itself is a mixed-pebble strip roughly 1.6 km long, divided into managed sections with sun-lounger concessions and free public stretches between them. The water is clean and shallow enough for families, and the beach is a Blue Flag holder in most seasons. Behind the promenade, the parallel streets hold the largest concentration of travel agencies, exchange offices, pharmacies and convenience shops in the town.
The directory covers accommodation along the strip, beachfront restaurants and cafés, nightlife venues near the port end, and service businesses on the back streets.
