The Budva municipality opened it as a memorial house in 1996 and folded it into JU Muzeji i galerije Budve in 2013, with exhibitions running in the upstairs gallery since September 1997 and a dedicated ethnographic room added in 2003.

The ground level shows well-preserved icons; the upper floor carries Montenegrin folk costumes including the Paštrovići women's dresses, distinguished by hem embroidery indicating family or bridal origin, alongside vintage books and rotating local artworks. The hall programmes literary evenings, theatrical performances, lectures, and poetry-and-music nights, and runs the annual "Fešta od smokava" Fig Festival, held yearly since 2008. The hall sits separately from the much older Reževići Monastery nearby.
