The bronze sculpture was created by artist Gradimir Aleksić and depicts a female dancer balanced on a single foot in an extended pose, with the figure's arms gracefully positioned. Local tradition attributes the work's inspiration to Olga Kalivoda, a Yugoslav-era gymnast and athlete. The statue has become the most photographed individual landmark in Budva subsequent only to the Old Town walls themselves. Visitor photographs cluster around similar compositions, and during peak evening hours a succession of visitors queues at the rock formation to capture the same angle and perspective.
