Budva Taxi

Taxis in Budva are white vehicles with a roof light and meter, costing roughly €0.70–€1 per kilometre. A ride from the Old Town to Jaz Beach (4km) costs €4–€6, and to Tivat Airport (15km) runs €12–€18. Meters should be started at the beginning of each journey. From the airport, pre-agreed fixed-rate transfers (€20–€30) avoid meter disputes. Ride-sharing apps (Uber) operate inconsistently; traditional phone-ordered taxis are more reliable. Taxis queue at designated stands near the Old Town and beachfront but can be flagged down on the street. Most drivers speak basic English. Payment is cash or card, though cash is preferred and sometimes charged at lower rates. Night surcharges (17:00–06:00) add 20% to the fare. Luggage is €0.50–€1 per piece. Tipping is not expected but rounding up is appreciated. Several taxi companies can be called in advance for tours or extended day trips.
